New Jersey Divorce Lawyer Discusses Questions for Your Attorney
What Questions Should I Ask My Divorce Attorney?
As a New Jersey Divorce Lawyer, I often get asked from clients what are good questions to talk to your attorney about. There are many questions that you should ask in your consultation with an attorney, not just about the attorney’s experience, the experience in your particular venue, but also about the process. Talk to that attorney about litigation versus mediation. What percentage of that attorney’s cases go to trial? Is that attorney amenable to sitting down with your spouse and his or her attorney and having a settlement conference right in their office? What out of the box solutions does that attorney offer you during your consultation? The most important thing I say to potential clients is no two divorces are the same, and you really want an attorney that’s going to listen to the facts in your case and help you design creative solutions to meet your family’s needs.
